Grammar

Day 1 - Introduction

  1. Find a small composition NB and make it your Grammar NB  - get it ready with TOC, page numbers, a nice cover etc.
  2. On the first empty page, write about what you know about grammar.  Definition, usage, why we need it, who invented it, etc. etc.  anything you know about it - then ask questions that you would like to know.  It does not have to be in paragraph form.  You could use bubbles, clouds, boxes, rainbow lines, puzzle pieces or whatever you would like your page to look like, just make sure it is readable.

Day 2 - Appositives
  1. Read this page.
  2. Watch this video.
  3. Print this page and complete it.  Glue it into your NB with a title and date.
  4. Now that you know what it is - On the next page in your NB, at the top of the page write your own definition of an appositive in your NB and date it.  Then write the sentences for this worksheet on that page. --- >
  5. Play this game.
  6. Go to this site and take the quiz.  Choose which part of the sentence is an appositive phrase and could be removed without changing the sentence.


Day 3 - Intransitive Verbs
  1. Read this page.
  2. Watch this video.  Then watch this video.
  3. Print and complete this page.  Glue it into your NB with a title and date.
  4. Now that you know what they are - on the next page in your NB, at the top of the page write your own definition of a transitive verb and an intransitive verb in your NB and date it.  Then write the sentences for this worksheet on that page. --- >
  5. When you think you understand what they are  - go to this site and take the quiz.

Day 4
  1. Copy this page into your NB
  2. Watch this video
  3. Print and complete this page.
  4. Play this game.
  5. Go to this site and take the quiz.
