Now read the list of key terms on page 3 and complete the crossword puzzle.

Practice here with a number line.
Go to this site. Sign in and follow the video instructions. Get 5 correct.
Go to this site on page 2. Look at the picture of number sets. Examples: All whole numbers are integers, but not all integers are whole numbers. All integers are real numbers, but not all real numbers are integers. What numbers could be put into each bubble?
Find the Real Number System worksheet, fill in the examples and glue it in your NB.

Day 16 Absolute Value

Go to this site. Sign in and follow the video instructions.
Go to this site about absolute value on page 4.
Play number ball then practice here and remember to log in.
Go to this video 7.1.1. Print this worksheet, complete it and glue it in your NB.
Find your Absolute Value foldable, fill it out and glue it in your NB.

Day 18 Multiplying Integers

Remember dividing follows the same rules as multiplying in terms of negatives and positives.

Go to this site. Sign in and follow the video instructions.
Print this page on colored paper. Fill in examples and then glue it into your NB.

Day 19 Intro Area

Go to this site. Sign in and follow the video instructions.
Go to this site and play integer warp for 15 minutes.
Go to this site on page 1 read the terms. On the next blank page of your NB, write down the first half of the list, skipping a line between each word.
Now do the crossword puzzle under the key terms.
On the same site, go through pages 2-3, read or watch the videos to learn about area.

Day 20 Intro Volume

Review on page 2.
Go to this site again - on page 1 finish writing down the other half of the key word list, skipping a line between each word.
Now go through pages 4-6, read or watch the videos to learn about volume.
Watch this video.
Play this Volume Game.
Go to this site and do the interactive. (Make sure you click COMPUTE)
Print this sheet and build a rectangle. Figure out its volume.

Day 21 Conversions

Review on page 2.
Watch this video. Print and complete the worksheet.
Copy this page into your NB. Add these conversions for temperature and area.
Do page 5 on unit conversions and measurement.
Look at this metric guide. Then play this game in the side bar. (Only level 1 works.)

Day 22

Read about converting measurements.
Answer four of the questions correctly before moving on. You may use a calculator.
Now read through this page on conversions.
Answer four questions correctly. You may use a calculator.
Do page 1-7 on measuring fractions on a ruler.

Day 23

Go to this site about Area andPerimeter. Copy the first 14 key words into your NB with their definitions.
Copy this page onto the next blank page in your NB.
Do the crossword puzzle on page 1.
Do the quiz at the bottom of page 2.

Day 24 Area of polygons/triangles

Print this page and glue it into your NB after you complete it.
Go to this site about Area andPerimeter. Copy the rest of the key words into your NB with their definitions.
Copy this page onto the next blank page in your NB.
Go through pages 1- 3 on area of triangles and other polygons.
Take the quiz on the bottom of page 3.

Day 25 Volume

Copy this page onto the next blank page in your NB.
Watch this video. Then this video.
Go through page 4 on volume.
Take the quiz on page 4. There is a tricky thing in the answers. Can you spot it?
Find some graph paper. Build a 3D rectangle that is 2 squares wide by 4 square wide by 9 squares high. When you are done, it should look like the top of this. Can you build the rest of this structure with graph paper?

Day 26

Go through page 5 on surface area. (day 147)
Take the quiz. Skip the matching. You can use a calculator.
On the next blank page in your NB, Title it Surface Area, date and number it - copy this page onto the top half of the page. Then draw a thick black line under it. You will write the rest of this lesson on the bottom half.
Print this page on colored paper. Construct them with tape.
(Refer to this image for the next part.) Take measurements of each shape, draw a small picture of the figure that you printed and built, then record the types of faces and how many there are of each on your NB page. Find the total surface area on each figure, then develop a formula for the surface area of ANY rectangular prism/cube and write it in your NB.

Day 27

Try the first 9 questions on the quiz on volume, surface area and perimeter. It will take some thinking.
Go to this site and find the Builder’s Inc. Building. Move across the city with the arrow keys.

Day 29

Perimeter and Area of Similar Figures Print and complete the worksheet, then glue it into your NB. Date it and add a page number.
